10% rise in new home starts expected for the Greater Austin area in 2012

Eldon Rude, director of the Austin market for Metrostudy delivered his projections at the fourth annual housing forecast for the Austin area.   Rude predicts that new home construction starts will be between 6,400 and 6,700 homes.  This will mark a second straight year of growth for new home builders.  Demand for new homes is coming from continued job growth and migration in the Central Texas states Rude.  To read the full article click Austin area home starts.
